The Help You Need
Our work with you provides a constructive arena where resolving the conflicts which arise from considering a separation or divorce or any other immediate or extended family issue can be talked through, discussed and hopefully a positive resolution arrived at. It potentially saves time and money by allowing the parties to reach a mutually acceptable, collaborative and workable agreement together.
When thinking about the way forward you may wish to consider the many benefits of attending for a series of sessions with us, namely:
- Our Approach helps reduce hostility and improves the chances of long term co-operation.
- The process tends to be less confrontational and less antagonistic.
- We focus upon resolving shared problems rather than emphasising entrenched and polarised positions.
- When related to children - we focus on the interests of children helping you to recognise and meet their needs as parents even when you are no longer a couple.
- We provide the opportunity for you to work in a positive and constructive way.
- You can improve communication and look to the future, not the past.
- Our aim is to reduce stress for you (and, indirectly, for your children if they are part of the issue which you bring).
- We hope to reduce the emotional stress involved in family conflict and relationship breakdown and can save unnecessary legal costs.
Our service is a confidential and impartial process. It can be an effective way of resolving conflict, discord and confusion within any relationship and is different to couples counselling/psychotherapy, mediation or individual consultation with solicitors. We offer our services to all adults irrespective of age, ethnicity, sexual preference and faith. Attendance is a voluntary process and requires both parties to willingly attend the sessions together. We are not a legal advice service but aim to support you both to resolve issues, by a constructive process, prioritising:
- The identification of the important issues
- Support in conflict resolution
- Gathering relevant information
- Exploring choices
- Working collaboratively in order to arrive at mutually acceptable decisions
- Discussion and support about your children (if relevant) and how you could talk with them about the issues you are all facing
A popular option is a single intensive meeting which lasts 4 hours,
(with a 30 minute break in the middle).
Alternatively, you might prefer a short series of meetings, usually 2 or 3, with two practitioners. The first meeting will be an assessment, offering you both the opportunity to decide whether this is the right course of action for your particular situation. If we all agree together that it is suitable, we then move on to the series of resolution meetings.
If you would like to know more or to discuss booking an initial session please call Judi 07471 411978 or Jean 07801 289514 .

We do not offer legal mediation.
